Dallington Grange Meeting

Background to the Dallington Grange site

As well as potential improvements to the existing urban areas of Kings Heath, Tresham Green and Lodge Farm, development proposals are also being considered for Dallington Grange.

  • Northampton Borough Council allocated Dallington Grange as a development site in 1997.
  • Details of how this allocation could be implemented were published in 2000 by the Northampton Borough Council in the Dallington Grange Planning Brief.
  • The Government Office for the East Midlands has confirmed that land at Dallington Grange is a suitable location for development
  • The site is also identified in an adopted planning document called the Milton Keynes and South Midlands Sub-Regional Strategy (March 2005)

There is a clear policy background to support the development of Dallington Grange. The principle for development has been agreed, but up until recently, no detailed plans on how the development could take shape have been made. Persimmon Homes and David Wilson Homes aim to create a well designed, sustainable and integrated community which incorporates the views of the local community. An independent consultation process was undertaken in order to achieve this.
